Steve Jenkins
Role in Band: Guitar
Musical History: Steve first picked up a guitar whilst at secondary school and helped form a band with two of his close friends when he was 16. The band, called 'The Last Resort', was strongly influenced by acts like Nirvana and mainly played grunge/rock music. They performed both covers and their own music and played numerous gigs at many different venues. Steve played lead guitar and sang lead vocals for The Last Resort. After a while the band grew apart, eventually ending in a split after only a couple of years.
Steve then gave up playing for many years but after moving north to Derbyshire made some new friends who were in local bands and the bug for gigging started gnawing away at Steve once more, resulting in him picking up and dusting off the old Ibanez.
A mutual friend from another band put Steve in touch with some other local musicians and together they formed The Fractured Dolls a rock covers band looking to play the pub circuit. Unfortunately this project never took off and ended before a gig could be played.
Still looking for a band Steve scoured the internet and stumbled across Rich. They hit it off instantly and spent a number of months finding the right members to form Abandoned Faith.
Influences: Jimi Hendrix, Joe Satriani, Mark Tremonti (Creed, Alter Bridge), Tom Morello
